This was the only heavy strategic long range bomber of Axis powers, being other German and Japanese 4 engined aircrafts used in different roles. Piaggio P 108s were used in bombing mission over Gibraltar, Algeria harbors after operation Torch, and naval targets off Sicily coasts.
