The Breda 201 was designed around the engine Alfa Romeo RA 1000 RC.41 (Italian version of DB 601).
Due to the usual lack of industrial output, the production of Alfa Romeo RA 1000 engines could be not increased, and all the existing production was reserved to fighters; this caused the end of the dive bomber Breda 201. DVX
