Iranian aircraft

One of the fifteen Curtiss Hawk 75A-9 (H75A) purchased by Iran, very probably photographed still in United States, but never employed by Iranian Air Force. In effect the aircrafts was delivered on May 1941 and at the date ten were ready to fly and the other five still in crates. But after the Iran’s occupation, August 1941, by the British and the Russians forces which took possession also of the Iranian airports, the aircraft was commandeered by British and transferred in India where was employed by RAF as Mohawk IVs.
