11th AD move

Two patrols, one from the 84th Inf. Div. U.S. First Army, and the other from the 11th Armored Division, U.S. Third Army, meet at a prearranged rendezvous on L’Ourthe River, closing the bulge in Belgium. The contact, uniting two U.S. armies, solidified the front line. Here, Pfc. Rodney Himes, Rochester, NY and Pfc. Two patrols rendezvous

This is the first tank crew of U.S. 3rd Army to reach the Rhine in the breakthrough at Andernach. Aboard the tank are: Cpl William Hasse, Palisades Park, New Jersey; Pvt. Marvin Aldridge, Burlington North Carolina; T/4 John Latimi, the Bronx, New York; Cpl.
